H.R. 358 passes House
Continuing in their trend of ideologically driven attacks on choice this year, the anti-choice controlled House voted to pass H.R. 358 yesterday. If you recall, this bill would allow hospitals to deny patients life-saving abortion even if the woman will die without one, as well as interfere in how private insurance companies offer abortion and birth control coverage.
In short, this is a complete disregard for the health, safety and well-being of women in America. Tax-payer citizens and residents of this country are having their basic rights to heath and life curtailed by elected officials who were elected to fix the economy. But instead are overstepping their bounds by interjecting government and ideology into private medicals decisions. It is a slap in the face to anyone and everyone who has ever faced a difficult pregnancy, wanted or otherwise. To anyone who needed and received a life-saving abortion.
President Obama, thankfully, has already stated he will veto this measure. But as we North Carolinians know, a veto can be overruled. Now is the time to make sure your Representatives understand just how disappointed you are.

I wish that I could send some money to support this cause. Believe me I am a woman too and this is a very important right. However, I jost my job and I am going through financial difficulties.
