I disagree w/ Gov’s position on Woman’s Right to Know. It’s an important law that saves lives & the ruling should be appealed #ncpol

Yesterday, Rep. Thom Tillis leader of the extreme lawmakers at the NCGA broke rank with the Governor and dismissed the concerns raised the federal district court court to demand an appeal on last week’s the mandatory ultrasound ruling. This law is an extreme governmental intrusion into the doctor-patient relationship. Even anti-choice Gov. McCrory–who already broke his campaign promise not to impose restrictions on abortion access–appears to agree that politicians should not be making these personal and private reproductive health care decisions for women. Tillis has a long and dismal record of supporting harmful legislation that put’s women’s lives and health at risk. He lead the campaign to defund Planned Parenthood in 2011 and supported SB 353, an anti-choice wish list of restrictions on access to abortion care.
North Carolinians deserve better.
